A vast majority of public records exist in digital form which pose special challenges for local governments when complying with the Public Records Act (PRA). While digital tools are essential in records management and responding to records requests, it is even more important to have access to information technology (IT) professionals. We’ve put together a panel of folks from both large and small jurisdictions to talk about how best to integrate IT professionals into your records team, the technology the panelists currently use in records management and searches, and their experiences working in the public records field.
