General Information
Webinar Overview
Understanding and untangling employee leave laws can seem like a daunting task. With both state and federal leave laws to consider, and possible overlap between these laws, there is much to keep track of. Join us as we review the various state and federal leave laws applicable to employees in Washington State and help you gain some clarity.
Educational Objectives
During this webinar, we will review state and federal leave laws, such as the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Washington Family Care Act (WFCA), Paid Family and Medical Leave (PMFL), Pregnancy Disability Leave (PDL), Washington Military Family Leave Act (WMFLA), and Domestic Violence Leave. We will discuss employers’ obligations under each, how these laws can overlap with one another and with other important laws like the Americans with Disability Act (ADA) and Washington Law Against Discrimination (WLAD), and common areas of confusion.
