Webinar Overview

Have you found a contract from another government agency for a product or service that would also fit a project for your own agency? Under state law, local governments can “piggyback” on another public agency’s active contract, such as purchases of products or services, to save time and obtain better prices than they might be able to on their own. This session will cover the ABCs to consider when deciding whether piggybacking is the proper alternative to your agency’s competitive procurement process.

Educational Objectives

During this session, information will be presented on:

  • How to evaluate ABC's: Adaptability, Benefit, and Compliance
  • Examples of common cooperative contracts
  • Frequently asked questions regarding piggybacking.

Presenters

  • Josh Klika, Procurement and Contracting Consultant, MRSC.
